Jyotokuya Brewery, Oita

Jyotokuya Brewery has its origins in the Edo period when the Nakazono family began trading under the name "Jyotokuya".

The brewery operated primarily as a sake producer until 1984. As market dynamics shifted, it collaborated with another sake manufacturer in Usa City to establish a sales company and transitioned into a shochu distillery. In 2003, Jyotokuya Brewery became independent again, launching the "Jyotokuya" brand.

Jyotokuya Brewery benefits from a mild climate and the abundant natural resources of the area. The region features fertile land and access to pure water, ideal for brewing high-quality sake and shochu.
